Why We Love It.

Designers at ODC appreciate Craft because it can facilitate sites that look as good as they work. Craft makes it easy to execute designs that are visually sophisticated but simple for clients to maintain.

Our developers dig Craft because it’s extensible, scalable and allows for powerful custom plug-ins and third-party integrations that ramp up performance and functionality. Craft does content management well, we handle everything else.

Why Our Clients Love It.

Time and again, we watch as clients discover just how simple Craft is to use. At the end of a project, we offer a CMS training so end-users can master how to update and edit content on their new site.

A darn simple publishing and editorial workflow as well as the ability to create different permissions for different users helps our clients feel in control. No matter how sophisticated the front-end, clients know content management will stay simple.

Craft Commerce

A Powerful E-Commerce Solution

Beyond being the best content management system for our clients, Craft now provides one of our favorite e-commerce frameworks. Like their core product, Craft Commerce is elegantly simple but supremely powerful. It handles most clients needs out-of-the-box, while providing a smart API for building custom functionality as needed.

Case in Point

Hines

Building a smart site for a real estate investment leader–it’s easier with Craft.

A technically complex site like Hines, with in-house integrations needed to have play nicely with a CMS. Craft was up to the challenge.

Beyond the behind-the-scenes, Hines wanted a website that established their brand and company as an industry leader. To show off their expertise, we created a site that was not only beautiful but would be a tool they could maintain in the long run, building features that establish their place in their industry and reinforce it for the future.

Case in Point

Layer Tennis

Was Craft a Grand Slam win for Layer Tennis? You bet it was.

Relaunching the live design competitions meant looking for a CMS that was easy-to-use but powerful enough to manage years of matches, all while providing the performance capabilities to run real-time matches.

Knowing the design community would be watching from the stands raised the stakes for a site that looked, and functioned, beautifully. Coudal wanted simplified match administration without sacrificing flexibility. Intense amounts of traffic during short time periods, changes made on the fly and empowering the clients to easily deal with unanticipated conditions (like rogue file formats) were all potential pitfalls overcome with Craft.

Prototyping and demoing allowed the client to see just how great Craft was. Then, planning and implementing new post-launch features, like Fastly/Varnish caching, live notifications of new matches, volleys and Twitter feedback were made easier by the choice to build in Craft.
